Enjoy a seated comparative tasting event with noted wine author John Winthrop Haeger, author of Dry Riesling Rediscovered, who will lead a comparative tasting event with German and Austrian Rieslings, including our Ravines Argetsinger Vineyard Dry Riesling and the long-awaited release of the 2020 Ravines “Luminatia” from our Limestone Springs Vineyard.  The event will be hosted by Morten Hallgren and held in our beautiful barrel room.

John’s idea for a comparative tasting was hatched when he attended Wine & Spirits Top 100 Wines of the Year tasting in San Francisco this year. He was struck by the similarities between the the Rudi Pichlar Riesling Achleiten Smaragd and Ravines Dry Riesling, Argetsinger Vineyard. He has assembled a line up of 6 wines, three from top tier European Producers and three from Ravines for a comparative study in terrior, style, technique and expression.

Tickets to the event include an after tasting grazing plate of delicious Riesling friendly foods prepared freshly from the Ravinous Kitchen with a glass of your favorite Ravines wine.
