A cool climate, old-world styled Pinot Noir that has delicacy and nuance, combining crunchy red fruit, earthiness, bright acidity and moderate alcohol. The grapes were carefully hand-picked and fermented on their skins for 4 weeks in open-top fermenters, receiving gentle punch-downs twice daily to ensure a gentle extraction which allows for complex flavors and engaging aromas. The wine then ages 11 months in French Oak barrels (10% NEW) and recieves another 2 years of bottle aging where it further evolves before being released in June of 2020.
A classic Finger Lakes expression of Pinot Noir, that in the 2017 vintage projects cranberries, black cherry, subtle, dusty tannins and an herbal finish.
