Flor is a dry wine produced when a veil of flor yeast flowers over the surface of a wine in barrel, protecting the wine. Once bottled and fortified, it imparts a beautiful nuttiness, caramel notes and aromas of dried apple, orange peel, and salinity.
2017 is our 2nd vintage of this popular Ravines wine, after the 2008 inaugural vintage (released in 2018) was such a success. It is best used as an aperitif or with a cheese plate of aged, aromatic cheeses.
