A crowd favorite going back to the inaugural vintage in 2006 is our red wine, Cerise. Always a blend of Pinot Noir and Blaufränkisch, this vintage is 59% the former, 41% the latter and was matured in 100% older French barrels. The result is a soft, ripe bouquet of black cherries and red plums, along with delicate spices.
Both cool-climate varietals that thrive in the Finger Lakes are a perfect pairing together, because of the balance of tannins, acidity and herbal characteristics. In 2017, you'll notice a harmony that's achieved when the harvest was warm and dry, allowing the grapes to fully ripen into a vibrant and savory wine.
