100% estate Cabernet Franc from our White Springs (61%) and 16 Falls (39%) vineyards. Vibrant violet in color with a magnificent bouquet of black cherry, mountain herbs, raspberry compote and hints of cedar. The magnificent 2020 vintage in the Finger Lakes allowed for a ripe fruit set, moderately high acidity and integrated, fine tannins. The wine is long, juicy and seductive on the palate with a signature spice. Matured for 12 months in our 5-year-old 2000 liter Austrian casks to restrain the oak as a background, complimentary, component.

“Stunning nose of cassis, forest berries and a whiff of mint pulls you into the concentrated and focused, medium-bodied palate. So much herbal and spicy complexity at the long and delicate finish. A blend of fruit from the White Springs and Sixteen Falls vineyards. The first vintage of this wine that was matured for a year in 2,000-liter casks of neutral oak. Drink or hold.” – SP, 4/16/22

“This classic Cabernet Franc is done in the Loire Valley mould, with abundant dark blackberry fruit, hints of rose petal and lavender, and a suggestion of liquorice and black tea to the fruit. The texture is vibrantly fresh, but the wine in no way lacks ripeness. The tannins are firm but not astringent, and the extract brings medium body and length. Drinking Window 2022 – 2035.” -CC, 1/31/22
